Basement House Plans

If you are planning to build on a sloping lot, chances are you will need a basement floor plan. Donald A Gardner Architects has a wide selection of home plans designed with hillside walkout foundations. Basement floor plans with a hillside walkout foundation will have usable living square footage on the basement level. While the master suite and living spaces are upstairs, the secondary bedrooms and a recreation room will be designed into the basement floor plan. You will often enjoy additional outdoor living options with a porch or patio off the basement floor plan. All our hillside-walkout house plans already have the basement staircase designed into the home plan. The basement floor plan will include a combination of finished and unfinished square footage. Unfinished square footage can be used for mechanical or storage.

If you want to build an unfinished basement floor plan, a standard basement option can be added to any house plan for an additional charge.
